Unfortunately for Chicago based rapper Chief Keef, it appears that his legal woes are going to continue. This past March, Keef was arrested on DUI charges for smoking weed while driving his vehicle. He was supposed to be in court earlier this week, but missed his court date. A $50,000 bench warrant has been issued for his arrest, and it’s not yet known where Chief Keef currently is. The rapper has had issues with meeting court dates in the past, and last September he missed a court appearance regarding child support payments.
It’s no surprise to see Chief Keef in trouble with the law due to his past transgressions. But it is still unfortunate. It seems he hasn’t been able to find a mentor who could help steer him away from issues with the legal system, which is tough because if he wasn’t a rap artist with means, he’d likely be behind bars. Hopefully Chief Keef can turn it around and become a better person for it. But right now, he’s going to have to worry about making a court date and getting all of his legal ducks in a row.
