Boosie has been known to speak his mind and not bite his tongue for anyone. Ironically, he’s been that way since the early part of his career. Speaking of early part, let’s speak on his 2006-release, Bad Azz.
Boosie, then known as Lil Boosie, dropped “Zoom,” featuring Yung Joc. It got it’s share of plays from the local radio station to Pioneer CD players. Indeed, it was for mass appeal.

No slight to Boosie’s late-bloomers, but songs such as “Set It Off” and “Exciting,” among others, were more suitable for his day-ones
Boosie’s uncanny ability to touch on sensitive topics was how he able to build a loyal following. “My Struggle” was one of those songs.
Bad Azz peaked at the number 18 spot on the US Billboard 200. He would do better on US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and US Top Rap Albums, reaching the number 2 and 1 spot, respectively.
Let’s circle back to the late-bloomers for a second. Mainly, because I was one myself. I remember telling my brother that “I love Webbie!” His response was: “if you love Webbie, you’ll love Boosie.”
