Your Opinion, What’s B.G. Best Album?

B.G. has just been released from prison after doing an 11-year bid. I’m not sure if a solo or Hot Boy album is on the way. However, I’m sure you guys wouldn’t mind discussing the albums he’s already dropped. Let’s chop it up.

In the mid-90’s, B. Gizzle released albums, True Story (with Lil Wayne) and Chopper City. Which in turn, made him a recognizable name in the Southern region. However, his reach went a little further with the release of his third album, It’s All on U, Vol-1. It contained the underground hit, “Get Your Shine On!!,” featuring the Big Tymers.

B.G. popularity grew with the second installment of It’s All on U.

However, he crossed over into mainstream with 1999-hit, “Bling, Bling” from the Chopper City in the Ghetto album. It was his first nationwide release and first to reach platinum status.

By the time Livin’ Legend was released, the relationship between Gizzle and Cash Money had gone soured. He was transparent about it on “F**k U,” which included shots fired at Birdman and Lil Wayne, among others.

The New Orleans native would go on to release more albums such as Life After Cash Money, The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 1, The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 2 (I Am What I Am), and Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood before getting jammed up with law. Though the aforementioned were not as successful as the Cash Money releases, they were good enough to please his faithful followers.

When it comes to putting respect on Cash Money’s name, it shouldn’t come with hesitation. And when it comes to the B.G., respect shouldn’t come without delay as well. Because he’s the B.G., one of the original Hot Boyz!

Welcome home!
