In 2012, the late-Doe B captured the ears of Hip Hop fans when he released “Let Me Find Out (Remix),” featuring T.I. and Juicy J. With big name artists on the record, it seemed to had overshadowed the original version. Let’s talk about both versions for a minute.
Obviously, the original version came first. It was big in the streets, which ultimately built upon the Alabama-native’s established fan base.

Apparently, the song, among others, got the attention of T.I., which led to him signing Doe to his Grand Hustle imprint.
Shortly after, the remix was released. It did what it was supposed to in terms of reaching a broader fan base and putting Alabama back under Hip Hop’s radar much like Dirty, The Last Mr. Bigg, and Rich Boy, among other predecessors, did.
Personally, I thought Doe B went softer on the remix. But that’s not to say it wasn’t good. In fact, if you listened to both songs, you’d tell the difference.
Unfortunately, Doe didn’t get a chance to enjoy the fruits of his labor. He was taken away from us in human form on December 28, 2013.
R.I.P. Doe B!
